Christmas Cookery

For our last day in club we made delicious Christmas shortbread. Here is the recipe for you to try at home:

225g butter

100g caster sugar

zest of 1 large orange

300g plain flour

2tablespoon cornflour

75g dried cranberries

100g White chocolate chopped

 METHOD

Preheat oven to gas mark 4/180-350

Beat together butter and sugar and add the zest.

Sift together the flour and cornflour and fold it into the butter.

Mix in the cranberries and white chocolate.

Use your hands to bring it all together. 

Roll out the dough and use shaped cutter to make as many shapes as possible.

Refrigerate biscuits for 30 mins. 

Bake biscuits for 15-18 mins until very lightly browned.

Dust with caster or icing sugar.
