Please see the attached leaflet outlining forthcoming essential road works in the Galgorm Road and Waveney Road area. Commencing this Monday (1st June), these works form a key element of Translink’s investment in the Ballymena Park & Ride expansion. The enhanced facility will offer more parking spaces and improved access to the station/park and ride, giving customers greater choice and convenience when travelling.
During the period of the works, a programme of off-peak lane restrictions and night-time working will be required to safely complete ducting, drainage, junction improvements, and resurfacing works in and around the station.
- Roads will remain open, but traffic management will be in place.
- Temporary delays are likely at peak times
- Some night-time works will be required to minimise daytime disruption
Road users and public transport passengers are advised to:
- Plan their journey in advance and allow additional travel time, particularly during peak periods
- Passengers should check www.translink.co.uk or use Journey Planner for travel planning.
- Consider alternative routes where possible
- Follow all temporary traffic management and signage
