We spent some time learning about various tall towers around the world e.g. The Shard, The Eiffel Tower, The Leaning Tower of Pisa and The Empire State Building. We found out who the architects were, the materials used, their total height and how long it took to construct them.
Then we were paired up for a challenge - to build the tallest, strongest tower. It had to be earthquake proof! We tested our designs to chose a winner. Some fared better than others!
