Basic Maths facts and times tables are so important, especially in P7, as the children begin to work with larger numbers and more challenging word problems.
We spend time ensuring that the pupils are able to quickly recall these facts. One of the ways we do this is through maths games. The children work their way around the classroom, stopping at different stations to play a game or to complete a short activity related to number bonds, tables and the topic currently being covered in class.
They enjoyed trying to beat each other in the games! They also had to find and fix mistakes in some of my calculations! They had fun here too!
