MEA Affordable Food Collective use a 'social supermarket' membership model to provide households in the Mid and East Antrim Borough with access to affordable, quality food, and to a range of supports to empower them to thrive. Membership is a one off £5 fee with a weekly fee of £5 for a food shop which entitles the client to 15 items which they choose themselves as well as up to 5 free items if they are available. At this time they have capacity for new members.
Customers can self-refer and one of the Food Collective staff will contact the applicant within 2 working days to either invite them for an initial interview or to signpost them to an alternative service.
