Primary 5 have been continuing to work on contractions. They have been discovering the 2 longer words contractions are made from. They started off using whiteboards to record the 2 words making up the contractions and then they took part in a carousel activity where they were given cards with contractions on them and they had to use pegs to identify the 2 words in the contractions. They recorded the words on a record sheet. The children enjoyed moving around the cards and using the pegs.
