The first football competition of the year – The Owen Daley Cup – took place on Thursday 9th October at the Ballymena Showgrounds. This was the first opportunity for the newly-selected team to play competitively together, and in an incredibly difficult qualifying group the boys played very well indeed, improving with every game and growing in confidence with each match.
While we didn’t qualify for the knock-out stage, each and every player should be proud of how they competed today. Well done especially to those who made their debuts today; we look forward to our next competition.
