P3 Melting Ice Eggs with Miss. Mulholland
P3 have started to investigate changes of state in our current World Around Us theme 'Time for a Change.' The children were learning what the terms 'solid', 'liquid' and 'gas' mean. Today Miss. Mulholland brought in solid ice eggs and asked the children to investigate ways in which we could melt these to turn them back into water. Each group was given an ice egg, salt and sugar. Miss Mulholland used a hairdryer to melt an ice egg and she also placed one in a large tub of warm water. The children were really excited to take part in this experiment today and everyone had great fun!
