Today the children were introduced to ordinal numbers and we discussed how these are used in races, sports and dates in the calendar. The children were given a scenario about teddies taking part in a race. The children read clues in pairs and placed the teddy bears in the order they finished their race. We discussed how this method was used to mark the Chinese New Year in the Zodiac Calendar. The children used super thinking skills today and were able to solve the problem and also had fun doing this activity.
