After 2 weeks spent working on alphabetical order to the first and second letter, today we learnt how to use a dictionary. It is a very useful skill to have. It allows us to find the meaning of words, the spelling of words, and also helps us find out what type of words they are: nouns, verbs, adjectives etc.
We did a lot of practical work using class dictionaries, then played games on the IWB to help us locate words more quickly. Please have a look at our photos!
