P5A learn about Ballymena’s history along with St Brigid’s

On Tuesday our P5 friends from Saint Brigid’s joined us for a joint lesson on Ballymena the City of the Seven Towers.  

We watched a PowerPoint on the history of Ballymena and researched some information on the 7 towers.

Then we drew Ballymena castle and First Ballymena Presbyterian Church and added some interesting facts to our drawings. 

For example, do you know that 10 of the stained glass windows which used to be inside Ballymena Castle can still be seen today in Strabane?
