Today each member of our group worked with a partner in the main classroom. The class were given a problem such as 'I bought 2 tops at £12 each and 1 skirt at £15 what change do I get from £50?' They used laminated circles to write the operations and cards for the numbers to form an equation to show how they would work it out. I was very impressed with the results.
