P7H have been working away on reports about the famous 1969 moon landing. The boys and girls started off by completing some grammar work centring on aspects of recount writing, before reading a variety of recounts and highlighting the recurring features such as time conjunctions, quotations, important times and dates, and the fact that recounts are a retelling of an event and therefore written in past tense.
Having completed Internet research on our P7 Fronter Space room, the children completed a first draft of their moon landing recount, which they edited and improved before typing and printing.
