Tackling the issue of litter in the school grounds

Today our Eco Club decided to go litter picking in the school grounds.
The sun was out and we spent 40 minutes litter picking at the front of the school. “Interesting” items were found- metal brackets, sweet wrappers, crisp bags, bottles, cans, a garden gnome and a plastic bin!

We were quite shocked at the amount of rubbish thrown in our school grounds and we intend to do more litter picking and also to start an anti-litter campaign- watch this space!
