Number Pieces Basic is a great app to help your children understand addition and subtraction.

• set out the sum using base ten.
• if there are more than ten ones circle ten and use the icon at the bottom to change the loose ones into a ten.
• add the units.
• add the tens.
• remind your child to add on the new ten they exchanged.
