We are starting the new theme of 'Through the eyes of the child' this term. This theme will be focusing on WW2 and how children lived during that time. In Art, we drew poppies as this symbolises those who fought in the war. We looked at pictures of poppies and Miss McPeake drew a poppy on the board to help show us the detail that we need to include. After drawing our poppies, we carefully painted our pictures using a thin brush. The poppies turned out beautifully so we held a gallery where we invite Mrs Gregg's class in to view our art. They talked to us about what they liked about our paintings and asked us some questions too.
