On Tuesday 23rd January the Woolly Wonders Club started their new club session by going on a school trip! We headed to the Factory Craft Shop in Harryville in order to choose new wool for our knitting projects. This was a great afternoon out! The girls and boys enjoyed discovering an Aladdin's Cave of yarns, needles and patterns. It was difficult to choose our favourite yarn, as there was such a fantastic array of colours and textures. We then chose suitable knitting needles, as the size depends on the type of yarn used. Finally we bought needle protectors as knitting needles can be dangerous.
We came back to school by bus and cannot wait to start knitting/ learning to knit next week. We will keep you updated!
Mrs Allen and the Woolly Wonders Club would also like to thank the school, which generously paid the bill both for the yarn supplies and the school bus.
