Football Tournament at Antrim Forum

Friday 24^th February saw the football team travelling to the Antrim Forum to take part in what turned out to be a tightly-contested 5-a-side tournament.  In their five group matches, Ballykeel came away with 2-1, 3-0, 1-0 and 1-0 victories (against Diamond, Gracehill, Moorfields and Carniny respectively) and a 2-1 defeat (against Camphill).  These results placed the team as runners-up in the group and enabled progression to the semi-final where they played Buick Memorial.  The team played well in the semi-final but were beaten by the slender scoreline of 1-0. 

The tournament showcased great team spirit as well as some fine individual performances: special mention goes to Conor Hamer for his nine goals and to Stephanie Martin who was rock-solid and composed throughout her debut for the senior team.
