P7SG - Poetry Recital

14th Oct 2020

We really worked hard writing our Autumns Poems, so we held a Poetry Recital.  Nearly everyone, even the very nervous, took turns to read out their poems.  It was great to listen to each other's poems and to be encouraged by all the positive responses.

We hope that you enjoy our video.

Below are the poems which were not read aloud.

Autumn by Jessica

Squirrels running around gathering nuts off the ground.

Birds singing to each other while I'm slurping down my soup.

It warms me up while the autumn wind blows.

At my feet the colourful leaves are dancing round me,

And fluffy white clouds moving quickly through the sky,

Smelling the fresh cut grass,

While I'm having a morning walk.

Autumn Evenings by Jordan

I see leaves floating off trees like a boat sinking,

I hear leaves crunching like a beautiful majestic beast,

I also hear squirrels crunching nuts like feet on frosty grass.

I smell the apple pie baking, I can't wait til it warms my belly like a cosy fire.

I feel the wind hitting my face and turning my cheeks crimson red.

I love autumn evenings.
