Support Coaching For Christ

23rd Apr 2020

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Throughout this school year the organisation ‘Coaching For Christ’ has been providing a fantastic service working with numerous year groups across our school to deliver a series of lessons to pupils to develop their fundamental movement skills. They have also been working alongside teachers after school to help coach our highly successful football club.

The coaches are all UEFA qualified and very skilled in coaching young children. The organisation’s ethos is ‘making better players on the pitch and better people off the pitch’. Their involvement in encouraging our pupils to display good sportsmanship and develop team playing qualities has been evident this year.

The Charity delivers all their lessons completely free of charge but to help ensure the programme’s future we usually run a festival day in May to raise a donation towards their work. This year, given our current situation, this will not be possible, but as a school we have still benefited greatly from their work. In light of this, in recognition of the hard work they have done this year, and to help keep them going, a JustGiving page has been set up with the 7 other schools in Ballymena who receive Coaching for Christ. I would encourage families to consider making a small donation on the ‘JustGiving’ page (link below). All money raised will go directly to Coaching for Christ to help fund their coaches for next year.

I hope you will support us in supporting the work of this charity and the time they are investing in our pupils. Every amount, however small, will add up. The school will also give a donation.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Mrs S. Sheeran
